Introduction

Your RV or camper isn’t just a vehicle, it’s your home on wheels.
Whether you’re moving across states, storing it for the season, or buying from a dealer out of state, Anapa Logistics makes RV and trailer transport simple, safe, and fully insured.

Here’s what you need to know before scheduling your shipment.

1. What Type of RV Transport Do You Need?

There are two main ways to move an RV or trailer:

Method Description Best For

Tow-Away Service A driver hitches and tows your RV using a heavy-duty truck Travel trailers, fifth wheels, campers. 2. Measuring Before You Book

Accurate measurements ensure the right equipment and pricing.
You’ll need:

  • Length (tip to bumper)

  • Width (with mirrors folded)

  • Height (including A/C units or antennas)

  • Weight (from manufacturer tag)

📏 Share make, model, and year, we can usually verify dimensions for you.

3. Preparing Your RV for Transport

Before pickup, follow these prep steps to protect your unit:

Exterior:

  • Close and lock windows, doors, and storage bays.

  • Retract awnings and antennas.

  • Disconnect propane tanks and power cords.

  • Fold or remove side mirrors if possible.

Interior:

  • Secure or remove loose items, dishes, and electronics.

  • Empty tanks (fresh, gray, and black water).

  • Lock appliances and latches.

🧰 Think “road ready”: anything that can move or swing during transport should be secured.

4. Insurance and Licensing

Every Anapa RV transport includes:

  • Verified USDOT and MC-licensed carriers

  • Minimum $1M liability and $150K cargo insurance

  • Geo-tagged pickup and delivery photos

  • Digital Bill of Lading (eBOL) with condition report

5. Typical Costs and Timeframes

Pricing depends on size, distance, and tow type:

💬 We’ll always quote your job upfront, no hidden surcharges or “surprise” add-ons.

6. Access and Loading Requirements

Make sure the pickup and delivery sites are accessible:

  • 60+ feet of open space

  • No low branches or tight turns

  • Firm, level ground (no soft soil)

  • Clear path for the truck to pull straight in/out

📍 If you’re at a storage yard or campground, provide gate codes or manager contact details.

7. Documentation at Pickup

At pickup, your driver will complete:

  • Visual inspection (photos of all sides)

  • VIN and tag verification

  • Signed eBOL (Bill of Lading) confirming condition

Keep a copy for your records, it protects both you and the carrier.

8. Delivery & Inspection

When your RV arrives:

  • Inspect before signing the final eBOL.

  • Check seals, lights, and tires.

  • Take 2–3 photos of condition.

If any issue is found, note it directly on the delivery form before signing, this ensures coverage under the carrier’s insurance.

9. Seasonal Shipping Tips

📅 Spring (Mar–May): High northbound demand (snowbird returns).
📅 Fall (Sep–Nov): Southbound season, expect higher rates.
📅 Winter: Limited routes up north, possible delays.

💡 Plan 1–2 weeks ahead during peak seasons.
